At Sierra Vista Regional Health Center we understand that every patient and visitor are special in their own way. The hospital has a TTY machine for use by patients who are hearing impaired.   If you would like to utilize this service, please ask your nurse for assistance.   There is no charge for this service, however; if the number you are calling is long distance, then long distance charges do still apply.   You must be prepared to pay with a calling card or credit card. You will be connected to a Communications Assistant, who will relay the conversation in the strictest confidentiality, to the number you specify. The telephone number you are trying to reach is the only information you will need to know before calling 7-1-1.   The Communications Assistant is trained on the use of the TTY machine and can assist both Speech to TTY and TTY-to-TTY communications.   The TTY service is available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.
