The Sierra Vista Regional Health Center Foundation, founded in 1992, supports the charitable mission of Sierra Vista Regional Health Center and is dedicated to improving the health, wellness, education, and quality of life of our community. Sierra Vista Regional Health Center, serving all of Southern Cochise County, is a not-for-profit community-based health care organization.
A volunteer board of directors oversees the administration of the Foundation.
Generous community financial support to the Foundation continues to enhance patient care, as well as community health and education. Each contribution represents a significant investment in the health and well being of our community. As our community grows, your generosity will provide the means for additional expertise with prompt, convenient, and improved health care.
The Foundation works to provide the latest in high-technology equipment for our health care community. In the past tow years, we have purchased two C-Arms, which take images of surgical sites without having to move the patient. We also purchased a digital mammography system in 2007 which produces ultra-clear images during breast cancer screenings. These images provide for earlier detection of breast cancer, increased treatment options, and positive outcomes for our patients.

Sierra Vista Regional Health Center Foundation develops public awareness of, builds community partnerships with, and raises charitable contributions for Sierra Vista Regional Health Center to secure better health care for our patients and community.
The Vision of the Sierra Vista Regional Health Center Foundation is to provide opportunities for people to invest their time, money, and energy in a mutually beneficial relationship that makes Sierra Vista Regional Health Center the patient-centered hospital of choice for our community.
Sierra Vista Regional Health Center Foundation is essential and worthy; donors are our greatest asset; resources are the cornerstone; staff makes a difference.
How do you say "Thank You" to a hospital, a physician, a nurse, or a whole department of caregivers? Personal notes of gratitude are always appropriate, but sometimes, you may wish to do more. Since the inception of the Foundation, the loving gifts of patients, their families and friends, and generous concerned citizens have contributed to the hospital's services and growth.
Gifts to Memorialize
Given in memory of a loved one, friend or associate, memorial gifts are appropriate expressions of your sympathy to grieving families. Memorial gifts to the Foundation are an excellent way to perpetuate the memory of a loved one.
Your Help Means Hope for Others
Donor gifts help support the hospital in its effort to remain on the cutting edge of new technology. Your gift will help sustain important patient care, education and community outreach programs that will continue to grow because of donor support.
The Foundation is currently raising money for cardiac monitors on our ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and PCU (Progressive Care Unit). Having this ability in our PCU will free up beds in the ICU for our more critical patients. If you are interested in donating towards our cardiac monitor project, please call the Foundation Office at 520-417-4990, or you can donate online by clicking on the Donate to the Foundation button at the top of this page or located below.
Your gift may be tax deductible as the Hospital Foundation is an IRS 501(c)(3) organization.
Regardless of size, your gift is most welcome and needed to assist our Foundation in fulfilling its community mission.
There are a variety of ways you can invest in the Sierra Vista Regional Health Center Foundation and contribute to the health of our community. Please take a moment and consider how to best reflect your charitable intentions while achieving your personal financial goals.
Gifts of Cash or Other Assets:
Contributions of cash by check or credit card are tax deductible, are the easiest ways of giving and are always welcome. Remember, however, for the purposes of income taxes, your cash gift is deductible only in the year in which it is donated. Check with your tax advisor to confirm the extent to which your donation is deductible.
Commemorative/Memorial:
Share feelings of joy and sorrow with others, while at the same time benefiting the Hospital and its patients. A gift may be made as an expression of sympathy, in remembrance of a loved one, as a tribute to someone special, or to mark a special occasion -- graduation, birth, birthday, anniversary, or speedy recovery.
Bequests:
A bequest in your will is an ideal way to reduce taxes and make a significant gift to benefit the Sierra Vista Regional Health Center Foundation. Ask your attorney to include a clause in your will or add a codicil to an existing will. A bequest may be made for a specific amount, a percent of your estates, and/or specific property.
Gifts of Life Insurance:
Do you have a paid-up life insurance policy you no longer need? If so, consider naming Sierra Vista Regional Health Center Foundation as the beneficiary of that policy. You can also make Sierra Vista Regional Health Center Foundation the owner of the policy, or turn it in for the approximate cash value of the policy. Ask your insurance agent for advice and for the necessary forms.
Gifts of Appreciated Assets:
Gifts of appreciated assets, such as stocks, bonds, and real estate, offer additional tax benefits. By making a contribution of appreciated assets instead of selling them, you can claim a tax deduction for the current fair market value of the gift and avoid capital gains tax. Talk with your tax advisor first.
Life Income Plans:
Today, well-planned philanthropy can play an important role to the financial well being of the donor as it does to the recipient. When professional knowledge is applied to evaluating the various options for planned giving, the value of a gift can be maximized for the donor and organization. When contemplating major giving, it is imperative that the donor understands tax advantages of these options that can include Charitable Remainder Trusts or a Charitable Gift Annuity.
If you would like to make a donation by check, please make your check payable to the Sierra Vista Regional Health Center Foundation and mail it to the following address:

Key West Night is a laid-back fundraiser for the hospital Foundation, featuring a Jimmy Buffet-style singer - Mark Mulligan, a buffet meal, contests, raffles, a pie eating contest and a silent auction. People are encouraged to wear shorts, flip-flops, straw hats, and to relax and have a great time. Held in May each year, the 2009 event will be on Saturday, May 2nd at the Windemere Hotel and Conference Center in Sierra Vista.
The
first annual Golf Classic was held in 1995 and has been a hugely popular tournament
ever since. This event is held in August of each year and attracts
golfers from all over the state. We are proud to name the tournament
the Carter Classic after the tournament founder, Otis L. "Rusty" Carter.
All golfers receive a bag of goodies along with an anxiously anticipated, top quality participant gift. The Foundation also sells raffle tickets to the players for a chance to win a wide variety of amazing prizes.
The players are then treated to a scrumptious buffet breakfast as they await tee time. Then it's off to the course! With $6,000.00 in prize money at stake, the competition can get fierce. Sodas, beer and other beverages are provided to our guests as they make their way around the beautiful Pueblo Del Sol golf course.
At the conclusion of the tournament our hungry guests are treated to a palate-pleasing lunch provided by a generous donor. Tournament winners names are posted and the winning raffle tickets announced. All in all, it's a wonderful day!
The
Festival of Trees was held for the first time in December 2000 and has quickly
grown to be one of the Sierra Vista Regional Health Center Foundation's most
anticipated events. Businesses and individuals generously donate lavishly
decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, and gingerbread houses and the public
can purchase the trees via a Silent Auction. The Festival of Trees
also has many monetary sponsors that support this event.
All the trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses are on display in the Mall at Sierra Vista for one week prior to the Silent Auction. Many trees can also be purchased during this week. Independent judges select winning trees in each of the event's categories and ribbons are placed on the winning trees for the public to view all day Sunday.
On the last Sunday of the event, a special reception is held to honor the many sponsors and volunteers for their donations of time, treasure and talent, and to give the community one last time to place their bids on unsold trees. Soft music is playing as guests partake in holiday foods and beverages while enjoying the wonderful holiday ambience.
