Parish Nursing is a natural extension of the healing ministry in a place of worship, with a focus on the whole person. Parish Nursing emphasizes wellness, disease prevention, and health promotion. A Parish Nurse is an R.N. who has taken a Parish Nurse class to prepare for this service in his/her faith community. He/she is recommended by, and then works closely with, the leadership of the congregation. S.V.R.H.C. is pleased to announce that we are offering assistance with our new Parish Nurse Program. R.N.'s in our community are given education and resources that prepare them to help meet the needs of their individual congregations.
For more information, or if you would like to begin this program in your own faith community, please call our Community Benefit office at 417-3158."
