Throughout SVRHC — whether it be the Emergency Room, Surgery, Rehabilitation, Cardiac Cath or another area — gifts received from grateful patients make it possible for us to provide state-of-the-art technology so that our doctors and nurses can provide the best possible care for all our patients. Our Grateful Patient program reaches out to former patients and provides an opportunity for them and their families to offer a financial gift to pay tribute to the doctors, nurses, and health care professionals who showed exceptional care that they or their loved one received while at Sierra Vista Regional Health Center. You’ve benefited from the generosity of past patients, and we hope that you will “pay it forward” by extending the quality of care that you have received to future patients.
So, how do you say "Thank You" to a hospital, physician, nurse, or a whole department of caregivers? Personal notes of gratitude are always appropriate, but sometimes, you may wish to do more. Since the inception of the Foundation, the loving gifts of patients, their families and friends, and generous concerned citizens have contributed to the hospital's services and growth. The following stories are from patients who have experienced the caring of SVRHC.
I received great treatment when I went to the Carter Imaging Center for a mammogram, follow-up mammogram, and an ultrasound. Having a mammogram was, of course, not fun, and then having to have a follow-up evaluation made the situation an even more anxious one for me. However, everyone was so professional. Jan Galante that scheduled my appointment took the extra time to help me and squeezed me in for an appointment. Then she went the extra step of calling my insurance company for me. Kathy Carpenter and Robin Taylor who performed my mammograms were awesome. Kathy and Robin were calm and reassuring. Reneeka Smith did my ultrasound and the two male receptionists were very kind. Sierra Vista is very fortunate to have such dedicated employees! Thank you.
I was at the Sierra Vista hospital yesterday as my friend lay dying. I cannot speak highly enough about the entire staff who took care of this elderly woman who had reached the end of her life. From the ER to a Hospital Room, the staff not only took incredible care of her, they also saw to the needs of those with her—from her heart-broken husband, to their pastor and friends who came so quickly when the call went out that the time had come. The compassion and kindness the hospital staff exhibited was way above and beyond the call of duty. This hospital does not get the thanks and credit it deserves every day. Thank you for everything the staff did and what they do every day.
We wish to acknowledge the wonderful staff at Sierra Vista Regional Health Center, especially those in ICU, for their cooperative, conscientious, and compassionate care. The ICU staff was so willing and cheerful. They fielded numerous phone calls, provided snacks, redirected us in the maze of hallways, lent sympathetic ears, shared information, gave much needed hugs, and most importantly, treated her with the utmost dignity and kept her calm and comfortable. Nowhere could we have found better care. They made a dreaded difficult situation bearable. They are great and we are so very grateful.
